Helix Rise Basketball was established in 2023. With the love of the game in mind and wanting to open additional opportunities for our youth here in London, Ontario we have been working to bring our club to life. It is important for us to not only create great players on the court, but great humans off the court as well. We are a team player oriented club that believes defense wins games. Being coachable tops the list. If an athlete is willing to listen and learn, our coaches will give everything they have in them to push them to become the best well-rounded version of themselves they can be.

When creating our logo, we wanted something simple and straight to the point and knew we wanted to support local. A helix as the outer circle, lines to indicate a basketball and the word RISE – voila – HELIX RISE BASKETBALL. Thanks to JD Communication and Design for making it happen.

When designing our uniforms we were happy to be able to continue to support local. We wanted to stay true to our colours, include specific logos, and have a style that stands out. Thank you to TKO Jersey Co. for turning our vision into reality.

We would also like to give a shoutout to local photographer Jana with Jana Burns Photography who captures our Media Day Photos for us. Jana is easy to work with and her photos assist us with our social media posts all year long!

We are strong believers that team bonding off the court helps the group feel more comfortable and trusting on the court. We plan events throughout the season to strengthen the bond between the team. We also understand the importance of giving back and are always looking for new ways to do this. Our tournaments we host will be linked to a local charity and in lieu of spectator fees, we will ask for donations for the charity. As well, our older athletes will be asked to help pass on their knowledge and skills to the house league groups.

MISSION
To establish a safe and enjoyable experience for our athletes while enhancing fundamentals, teamwork and confidence; both on and off the court.
VISION
To lead diverse athletes to aspire to be the best person they can be through development, working together, and making a difference; both within their team and their community.
VALUES
We believe in…
RESILIENCE – understanding the ability to rise above
INCLUSIVE – creating a safe setting where everyone is encouraged and developed
SPORTSMANSHIP – remembering how you act reflects the whole club
EXCELLENCE – bringing your best to everything you do
